The original paper plant pots are 4cm wide and up to 5cm deep. Economical, eco-friendly and EASY, it’s perfect for seeds and small seedlings. It's also great fun.
The BIG! Paper Potter is a bigger version of the Original Paper Potter. It makes biodegradable pots which are 6.5cm wide and 7cm deep from strips of old newspaper, so they’re perfect for marrows, courgettes, sunflowers, larger seedlings and plug plants as well as sweetcorn, beans and peas.
How long will my paper pots last?
Roughly six/seven weeks. Enough time for your seeds to germinate and harden off and planted in the ground.
Do I need to take the seedlings out of their paper pots when I plant them out?
No. Plant the entire pot and its contents into the ground. The paper will quickly biodegrade and the little hair roots on your seedlings will not have been disturbed. Make sure though that they are really wet when you plant them.
My pots don’t stand up straight. Help!
I put mine into a seed tray so they hold each other upright and also it’s easier to take them outside to straighten up to harden off that way.
