Our favourite baked Brie recipes to use in our Brie Bakers

Our fun Brie bakers have been super popular and if you’ve managed to snaffle one, then the next obvious question is just how to bake a Brie in one and really what’s all the fuss about? I mean, Brie tastes good already right?
Well, here’s a nice surprise.  Baked Brie is a totally different and interesting cheese taste sensation!

I’ve been experimenting with recipes and asking around and I’d like to share our 4 favourite baked Brie recipes we’ve discovered and created so far.

Baking a Brie in your Brie baker is fairly standard, it’s just the flavours that will change.

Here’s how to bake a Brie.

Give your new Brie bake a good wash and dry.
Turn your oven onto 160oC and get up to temperature.
Use a piece of baking paper to line the Brie baker.  I like it to come out and over the sides a little.
Place your Brie wheel inside the baker, add your flavours and drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil over.
Pop the lid on and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until quite soft and gooey. This will depend a little on your oven. ( some recipes say 10 mins but I found it not quite long enough but check your Brie at 10 mins in your oven to check)
When it comes out, it will be too hot to eat immediately but you can drizzle any post bake extras on now and leave the lid on for a few minutes to let it cool to a temperature ready to serve.  Serve with crusty bread, your favourite water cracker or rice biscuits, fresh fruit like grapes, or veggie sticks.  Whatever you love best.

Our four favourite flavours are:

PISTACHIO, FIG AND HONEY
Roughly cut a small handful of pistachios and 4 figs (either fresh or dried) and sprinkle over the bred.  Add a small amount of ground pepper and a drizzle of olive oil and pop into the oven.  When it’s ready, drizzle a moderate amount of honey over the top and serve asap.  This is absolutely delicious and the honey works with the cheese to give a lovely taste sensation.

LEMON & THYME
This is a classic and quite delicious and there a few ways to do it. I even tried this with dried thyme and it still worked well.
Squeeze half a lemon over the Brie and microplane the rind over also.  Just a little olive oil, a sprinkle of fresh thyme.
Pop the lid on and bake.
I also experimented with adding some finely chopped preserved lemon on top and it was absolutely delicious.  If you’ve got some you can add them in.  They are a strong taste though, so just a quarter preserved lemon is enough.

QUINCE AND WALNUT
A strong contestant for favourite!  Use half a small container of quince paste and chop up into smaller thin strips. Place over the top of the Brie, add a small handful (1/4 to 1/2 cup) walnuts,  a drizzle of olive oil and bake.

SLICED ALMONDS AND HONEY
this time the honey goes in before the baking and it works beautifully.  sprinkle your Brie with sliced almond, drizzle with a generous amount of honey and a extra drizzle of olive oil. voila, pop in the oven to bake and serve when ready.

Hope you enjoy these.
I have the puff pastry baked Brie in my sights next, so I’ll let you know if that works!

And apparently there is a whole dessert series of flavours to try that are becoming popular! Think apple and cinnamon, pear pecan and maple syrup, baked strawberries with your Brie, a Brie crumble…..
So many ideas to try.

If you’ve got recipe you have tried and love please share. We are always happy to experiment and share them with our community.

Enjoy your Brie baker and yummy warming baked Brie!
