Botanicals are essence of your gin! These are the botanicals that you will make your famous in-house gin from. Your botanical pack will always include juniper berries, because this is what makes gin gin – it ain't gin without them. The rest of your botanicals are carefully crafted to give you subtle highlights and deep lows to round out your gin and make it special. We are experimenting & inventing new botanicals all the time as we explore the world of artisan gin making.

To get started, add botanicals and juniper berries into each provided bottle.

Verde Gin Making Botanicals

Make gin at home with vodka

Divide the vodka evenly between the bottles.

Leave to infuse in a cool dark place for 12–24 hours and wait for the magic to happen.

You will have enough Juniper Berries and Botanicals to make another batch with another 700 ml of vodka. Verde Gin Making Kit

Add citrus peel to vodka infusion

Then add some fresh, washed citrus peel – you can use lemon, orange or grapefruit. Make sure there isn’t any pith. If your Verde gin botanicals include any citrus peel, you can skip this step if you don’t want citrus overload.

Pro tip from a long time gin maker: Cut pieces small enough to fish out of the bottle later!

Leave for up to another 8 – 10 hours, giving the bottle a gentle shake at least once.

Taste, and if you’re happy with the flavour, filter out all the botanicals using the funnel and sieve (Use the original vodka bottle to help with this).
Add Citrus Peel to your gin kitBottle your own ginBottle your Gin back into the supplied bottles or decant into mini bottles to share.

The Gin will have a slight tinge of colour, nothing to worry about – those are infusions at work. If you have some sediment at the bottom of your bottles, you can strain again with a coffee filter or muslin cloth. We don’t mind a few little floaties; they add character.Verde Gin Kit Bottling
